Paul
One of the
most incredible, resilient and strong people I have had the privilege of caring
for on Mercy Ships is Paul. Paul lost his nose when it was shot off by a bullet during the Congolese civil war 13 years ago. Since then, he has
been living with a hole in his face where his nose should have been. Now, after
all this time, he received a new nose, taught me big and beautiful life lessons
and left the ship an entirely different man.
